Human resource or manpower planning is one of the most important elements in a successful HRM programs. A survey of chief executives found that 85 percent listed human resource planning as one of the most critical management undertaking of decade. Specifically manpower planning is the process by which an organization ensures that it has the right number and kinds of employees, at the right place, at the right time capable of effectively and efficiently competing those tasks that will help the organization to achieve its overall objectives. In our selected organization Manager is responsible for manpower planning and about the man power the entire burden goes to him. The following factors have been considered in the manpower planning:
1.      Organizational goal.
2.      Job analysis.
3.      Determining the total amount of future employees.
4.      Analyzing the present employees.
5.      Determining the net amount of future employees.
6.      Determining planned program for collecting necessary employees.
The goal of human resource planning is to get the right members and types of employees doing the right work at the right time. Human resource planning is a matter of methods. Human resource planning gets effective through accomplishing some consecutive activities. Its steps are mentioned in below:
1.      Determining the organizational goal.
2.      Collect information.
3.      Forecast demand for human resource.
4.      Forecast supply of human resource.
5.      Plan and conduct needed program.
6.      Feedback on the planning process.
