Keep Your Baby Safe from Baby Monitors

Most parents buy baby monitoring devices to ensure the safety of their babies. But how many of them actually realize there are certain risks and dangers that accompany these monitors? Following the recent death of an infant in USA due to strangulation, voices have raised to keep babies out of harm’s way from monitoring devices.

The primary concern against baby monitors is that corded devices can pose the threat of strangulation to infants. At least 6 such incidents have been reported in the USA alone in the last 6 years, with 2 more being hurt badly. Also, critics have also show negative response to the use of electric pulse by digital monitors in close proximity to the baby.

According to experts, the best way to keep your baby safe from both situations is to place the monitor at least a foot away from it, with no cords in possible reach.
